The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a state law that provides California residents rights when dealing with businesses that collect and sell their personal information.

The California Delete Act is a state law that provides California residents with a one-click mechanism to ask registered data brokers to delete their personal information.

June 10, 2008 UPDATE -- California Assemblymember Joel Anderson (R - La Mesa) wrote CEO Dr. Eric Schmidt, urging him to comply with California law and post a link to its privacy policy on the Google home page.
